This classic barspoon with muddler has been a must have among bartenders since the dawn of cocktail-mixing. The thicker disk welded to the end of this more exclusive spoon, compared to cheaper spoons (with thinner disks) gives it more weight. The extra weight makes it easier to muddle sugar cubes in for example Old fashioned´s or Sazerac´s but will also make the spoon more balanced and easier to handle while you’re stirring. The muddler is made for a softer muddling like sugar cubes in soda, or berries, but not recommended for harder muddling like citrus or herbs. It’s also handy when used for layering cocktails, blending ingredients together, or ‘churning’ a drink involving crushed ice.
